Marketing Education provides students with key skills needed to seek employment or further their education in the business field. Skills in academic and technical areas are combined to provide students the foundation for business and industrial leadership. Some of the areas covered are E-Commerce, Entrepreneurship, Financial Services, Hospitality, Advertising, Services, Travel & Tourism and Sports & Entertainment Marketing. Students receive practical training and experience by operating the Viking School Store. This course provides a dual credit opportunity for students with University of Maine at Presque Isle, University of Maine at Fort Kent and Husson University.  DECA Club – Participation in DECA (Distributive Educational Clubs of America) provides students with the opportunity to become involved in many exciting activities relating to their Marketing Curriculum. Involvement in DECA offers students leadership training, and a chance to compete in State and National events in career areas designed to stimulate and motivate classroom interest and vocational competence. Students winning First Place trophies at the State Conference are eligible to attend the National Conference, which is held in cities such as Anaheim, Atlanta, Nashville, Salt Lake City, Louisville and Orlando.
